Wildlife Management Assistant

Coillte are currently inviting interested candidates to express an interest in Wildlife Management Assistant roles at Coillte. The purpose of this role will be to assist and support Coillte’s Deer Manager while undertaking deer management and control operations on our land across Co.Wicklow.  

The role involves responsibility for the safe handling of Game meat and candidates must have a very good working knowledge of the locations of our properties across Co. Wicklow and South Co. Dublin.

The ideal candidates will have previous experience of driving on forest roads/tracks with a have minimum of 5 years’ experience in safely handling firearms and have a full clean driving license (0 penalty points)

Following the closing date a number of candidates will be shortlisted and offered a place on our panel.  Membership on the panel will last for two years.  When Wildlife Management requirements arise Coillte will offer a short term contract to members of the panel.  Each contract will last between two to three months and will include 20 days’ work paid at a rate of €200 per day.  

 

 

Group HR Generalist

Coillte have an exciting opportunity for a Group HR Generalist to join our Lean Centre team.  The role will involve working closely with the Group HR Director and liaising with HR teams in each of the 3 Divisions, providing a range of human resources services including recruitment and selection, talent management & succession planning and employee relations, in particular regarding compensation and benefits.

The ideal candidate will hold a HR related degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a HR role in a commercial operation. They will have good knowledge and experience of a range of HR disciplines, in particular regarding the design and implement of reward systems and pension solutions and alsoeffective influencing and advocacy skills for internal and external relationships.

The successful person must have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills. They will have developedinterpersonal skills that engender trust and are reflective of high levels of integrity and personal credibility.

Assurance & Compliance Auditor

Coillte have an exciting opportunity for an Assurance and Compliance Auditor  to join our team. The successful candidate will provide strong, independent and objective assurance over the effectiveness of the control and governance processes across the Group.  The role will involve responsibility for conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures. 

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or Qualified Internal Auditor with a minimum of three years’ experience in auditing, governance or compliance. 

They will have strong knowledge of current internal audit standards and methods and have the ability to work on own initiative with a committed and positive attitude.  The successful person must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and influence effectively at all levels. In addition strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and solid judgement are a must.
