Machine Trainee, Coillte Forest (12 Month Internship)

Coillte Forest division have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Trainee to support the harvest machine group in harvesting operations to deliver both production targets and support technology development and to free up the machine group members to carry out telemetric audits on the ground.

This is a 12 month internship to train individual on forwarder firstly, then harvester to NPTC standard. As well as operating machines, the trainee would be competent in calibrating, data transfer, thinning control and log quality checks.

The role involves responsibility for supporting the implementation of the harvesting technology strategy to support the execution of the overall harvesting strategy and delivering an effective support to the Business Area Units regarding harvesting operations including the completion of the harvesting program. The successful candidate will ensure a quality service is provided to Customers which meets or exceeds commitments.

The ideal candidate should be flexible with a drive for results and have excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with staff, contractors and stakeholders. The successful candidate should have a relevant qualification in Forestry or related discipline with minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with harvesting machinery.

HR Generalist, Coillte Forest

Coillte Forest division have an exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist to provide a wide range of HR services including talent acquisition & recruitment, deployment and succession planning, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development.

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge and experience within a range of HR disciplines. The role involves responsiblity for developing and updating human resources policies and procedures as necessary and ensuring positive employee relations by proactively managing employee communication, prompt issue resolution and fair and equitable treatment. Assurance & Compliance Auditor

Coillte have an exciting opportunity for an Assurance and Compliance Auditor  to join our team. The successful candidate will provide strong, independent and objective assurance over the effectiveness of the control and governance processes across the Group.  The role will involve responsibility for conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures. 

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or Qualified Internal Auditor with a minimum of three years’ experience in auditing, governance or compliance. 

They will have strong knowledge of current internal audit standards and methods and have the ability to work on own initiative with a committed and positive attitude.  The successful person must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and influence effectively at all levels. In addition strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and solid judgement are a must.
