Status Orange Weather Warning – Coillte Urges People To Exercise Caution in Affected Areas as Storm Dave Approaches
Saturday 4th April.
Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange wind warning for county Wexford.
Coillte advises all users of forest lands including its staff, contractors and members of the public, to exercise caution if entering forest lands during this weather warning as storm Dave moves through the country.
The warning remains in place from 18:00 Saturday 04/04/2026 to 21:00 Saturday 04/04/2026

Possible impacts:
· Some fallen trees, branches
· Wave overtopping
· Difficult traveling conditions
· Debris, loose objects displaced
Fallen and overhanging trees pose an extremely dangerous risk to the public and Coillte is urging everyone to remain vigilant and to exercise extreme caution if entering forest lands over the coming days. Members of the public should not approach fallen or overhanging trees as they pose a significant health and safety risk and access routes blocked by trees should only ever be cleared by trained experts.
