Things to do
Walk: Two loopped walks in this forest property. The Newvillage walk (5 Kms, 1.5hrs, easy) offers spectacular scenic views of Lough Corrib. This looped walking trail follows quiet forest roads for most of it's length. It goes through forest plantations of spruce and pine and small open areas with some willow and birch. It climbs slowly to the higher part of the forest property at the northern end and emerges onto the Glann road.
The Lough seecon trail (6.5Kms, 2hrs, Easy) is similar to the newvillage walk.
At the western end of the property, the trail brings you close to Lough Seecon. This is a small lake, now really only a pond as the surrounding bog consumes it once more. The return journey along the Glann road has splendid views of Lough Corrib.
