Coillte is pleased to announce that all Coillte carparks will open at 04:00 AM on Saturday, May 8th 2021 in support of the annual Pieta House Darkness Into Light event.
This year, as participants cannot gather at their usual Darkness Into Light locations, supporters are being asked instead to take part in the event at a time and location that suits them.
Pieta House notes that, no matter how individuals decide to engage in the sunrise event, they will be giving the gift of hope to those in their community who are struggling with mental health issues.
All are welcome to complete the walk in our forests. There will be free car park access to facilitate those participating in the event. Coillte is making a donation to this excellent charitable cause in recognition of the use of our lands for this very special sunrise occasion.
Coillte asks that all participants strictly adhere to government Covid-19 guidelines at all times while taking part in the event.
