Coillte’s forests remain open during Level 5 Covid-19 Restrictions but all users asked to adhere to HSE and Government guidelines

Friday October 23rd 2020

Ireland has been placed into Level 5 of the Plan for Living with COVID19.

In accordance with this advice and the restrictions in place for Level 5, Coillte’s forests and forest parks will remain open but only to those who live within 5km of the forests they are visiting. All visitors must adhere to HSE and Government guidelines, including two metre social distancing measures.

Coillte has forests in every county in Ireland. There are over 260 recreational sites and over 3,000kms of walking trails, not to mention mountain bike trails and forest parks. As Pat Neville of Coillte said on RTE’s Six One News, there is something for everyone to do during Level 5.

Stay safe, stay local and protect each other.
