Beyond the Trees Avondale named as Winner in the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) 2023 Awards

We are delighted to announce that Beyond the Trees Avondale, located in Coillte’s Avondale Forest Park, County Wicklow has been named as Winner for Universal Design AND as Winner for Cultural and Public Buildings by the RIAI 2023 Awards. The RIAI awards highlight inclusive and sustainable architecture that has a positive contribution to climate change.

Beyond the Trees Avondale is a collaboration between Coillte, Fáilte Ireland and EAK Ireland, supported by Van Dijk Architects and Stöger & Köbel Architekten. It has emerged as hugely popular and a truly unique visitor experience to Ireland’s Ancient East. The newly refurbished Avondale House is an added attraction for visitors to Avondale Forest Park, who can now experience the house tour alongside the magnificent Beyond the Trees Avondale Treetop Walk and Viewing Tower.
