The Sean Linehan Blue Walk – Easy – Blue Markers – 2 km – approx. 30 minutes stroll.

The Sean Lineham Red Walk – Easy – Red Markers – 4 km – approx. 1 hour stroll.

Both of these walks are nature walks and in parts follow the meandering flow of the Macreddin River.

The Cushbawn Loop / The Rock – Strenuous –  10.5 km – approx.  3 hour hike.

This route takes you up to Cushbawn Mountain near Aughrim, Co. Wicklow. You’ll start with a lovely wander along the river before hitting the forest tracks that climb towards the summit. Once you climb out of the river valley, you’re heading up onto the massive granite ridge that shapes the whole of County Wicklow, a feature sculpted by ancient glaciation. In the uplands, keep your eyes peeled for red grouse hopping through the heather or even a majestic peregrine falcon soaring overhead. In wetter conditions the terrain can become quite muddy, so sturdy footwear is advised, and always bring along a copy of the trails map.
