Killinthomas
Overview
Welcome to Killinthomas Wood. This 70 hectare (200 acre) Wood is located 2km north of Rathangan Co. Kildare.
There are five waymarked walking trails with varying lengths totalling approximately 10km offering both long or short walks.
Look out for the varied flaura and fauna that lives in Killinthomas Wood.
Things to do
The Camp Walk – 1.3 km – yellow markers – easy
Fr. Doyle’s Walk – 1.7 km – purple markers – easy
The Hazel Loop – 2.3 km – blue markers – easy
The Ballydermot / Killyguise Loop – 4.1 km – red markers – easy
The Bluebell Walk – short linier trail – light blue markers – easy
These trails take you through a mixed conifer/ broadleaf woodland and starts and ends at the car park. This Woodland is popular with families and young children. The gentle gradient allows for walkers at all levels with picnic tables dotted throughout for a chance to take in this enchanting wood.

The main highlight is the inspiring Bluebell walk which in spring/early summer highlights the carpet of bluebells and wild garlic through the wood.
