Glencoum

Overview

Glencoum woods has two waymarked looped walks that will take you around the forest and give you lovely views as you go along of the surrounding Kilkenny countryside.

From Graiguenamanagh take the R703 towards Thomastown, and then turn right onto local Aghclare road and the forest entrance and car park will be on your left after a few km. The small car park on site can accommodate 5 cars.

Things to do

There are two looped walks in the forest for you to enjoy.

The Pine Needle Loop – 4 km – Easy grade – 1 hour – Blue markers

The Fern Leaf Loop – 2 km – Easy grade – 30 minutes – Green markers

Both loops start and end at the trail head in the car park.
