Overview
Bawnboy is a small village at the southern foot of Slieve Rushen, between Swanlinbar to the north-west and Ballyconnell to the south east in County Cavan, Ireland, close to the border of County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland, and the Marble Arch Caves European Geopark

Walk: The Bawnboy Loop is in Carrick East forest and is ( 5 Km, 1.5Hrs, moderate ). Follow the blue way markers on this walk through the forest which starts with a steady climb of 130 metres up to a viewing area, where you can see down to Brackley Lough and beyond. There are a network of roads and paths which offer scenic views of the surrounding landscape
