Ballycrystal
Overview
Welcome to Ballycrystal forest, this is a peaceful countryside walk where the silence is generally only broken by the wind in the treetops or the trickle of the many mountain streams in the property.
The Ballycrystal Trail begins about 5km from Kiltealy village. From the village trailhead, drive out of the village towards Enniscorthy and follow the directional fingerpost signs to the start of the trail, up in the valley under Mt. Leinster, atop which sits the Radio Teilifís Éireann television transmitter.
Things to do
The Ballycrystal walk is suitable for most people and is a leisurely walk. The trail is divided in two by the paved roadway.

Lay byes at forest entrances, please do not block gates or barriers as these are needed for emergency entry.

Watch out for the viewing point beside the river where you can stop for a breather and relax at the picnic bench and enjoy the views around you.
