ICT Business Analyst

 

Role Objective

This role will be responsible for mapping business processes improvements,

translate business needs into user requirements, functional and technical specifications.  The role will act as the conduit between the customer and the IT solution provider.

Reports to:  ICT Technical Solutions Project Lead

Location: Newtownmountkennedy

Responsibilities

Process Analysis:

  • Manage the engagement with senior business process owners to develop and advance their technical strategies and process-specific enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the services, procedures and tools used within Coillte and for any new demands or existing products.
  • Analyse information needs and functional requirements and produce business or user requirements documents, use cases, screen, and interface designs.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops and process task and workflow analysis.

New demands:

  • Manage change of existing business processes to ensure impact are assessed and approved by the Process Owner before development commences.
  • Provide inputs to support the procurement process and assist in the scoring and evaluation of solution proposals
  • Assist with viewing, validating, improving and redesigning business processes company wide

People and Organisation:

  • Provide support to Business Process Owners in evaluating changes to already embedded processes.
  • Manage and develop how Coillte engage with stakeholders and manage expectations of what can be delivered and when.

Technical/Professional Competencies 

  • Relevant qualification in Information Technology and/or Business to HETAC Level 8.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Excellent Interpersonal, MS Office and presentation Skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of technology solutions and application development
  • Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and with users
  • Strong focus on continuous development and improvement
  • Concern for order and quality with a habit of monitoring and checking work or information and insisting on adherence to agreed standards.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Clear understanding of how ICT can be harnessed to add value in
  • Coillte and the challenges involved in doing so
