Benefits from our forests

The Public Goods which flow from our forest stewardship are many and valuable and we are actively seeking support and partnerships as we continue to deliver them.

It’s estimated that the 18 million annual forest visits to our forests generate more than €270 million for local rural economies; a valuable contribution which we believe should be recognised. 

We also provide the public with recreational opportunities, help our country meet its national biodiversity and nature conservation targets, protect our cultural heritage, improve water quality and help mitigate climate change effects.
