Coillte have a highly developed integrated Geographical Information System (GIS) with access to a broad range of landownership, infrastructural, environmental and planning datasets that are utilised to further the development of our wind energy and other asset development projects. The Asset Development team have a track record of utilising our GIS to identify and develop our energy assets completing site identification and suitability assessments, constraint mapping, wind farm design and map production to support the EIA and Planning processes.
Our solicitors manage the conveyancing and property related legal services within Land Solutions, as well as providing general and commercial legal advice to support the implementation of the Land Solutions strategy. The team of two solicitors and an expert in mapping provide legal support for Land Solutions property transactions including acquisitions, sales, leases, licences, options and associated easements in addition to advising on a full range of property title and conveyancing issues.
In Coillte Operations (Asset Management) we are focused on maximising our land assets. This is done through focused analysis of top line income growth and careful management of expenses. We focus on total return over the full lifecycle of our investments to both Coillte and the wider community. Our asset management team have varied experience in the operations and maintenance of a variety of assets from forests, renewables, property and infrastructure.
The Property Sales and Acquisitions team have worked on a number of large scale signature transactions and smaller sales offering solutions to a wide range of businesses. The team has a wealth of experience in valuing, planning and consulting with business partners in bringing projects to a successful conclusion. The team also assists in the acquisition of land for forestry offering advice on price and suitability for planting. The team is made up of Foresters and Project Managers.
Our Programme and Project Managers have a proven track record of developing a wide range of projects from initiation through development, construction and operation. Many of our staff are Project Management Professional’s (PMP PMI) accredited.
Our Procurement Specialists lead the procurement of all goods and services in the Land Solutions Division using innovative procurement tool and techniques to provide the most economically advantageous solutions for all stakeholders. Our staff are expert in Public Procurement law and play a strategic role in applying same within a commercial environment whilst deriving cost savings and value for money.
Public planning plays a key role in any development and our in house planners have the ability to advise on the full range of issues relevant to the development of sustainable projects, covering both urban and rural environments and planning policy.
Environmental planning plays a key role in any development. Our in-house professional Planners provide strategic planning advice on the full range of issues relevant to the development of sustainable projects, covering both outer urban and rural environments. They also identify opportunities and provide specialist input to projects that are aligned with key national and government policies including the promotion of sustainable growth, supporting our citizens in sustainable communities and protecting our environment.
Coillte’s Strategy & Innovation team has a broad range of experience in developing new business opportunities. In areas ranging from Telecoms, Water and Infrastructure in general to Aggregates, Property and other land uses the team has helped explore investment opportunities and bring them through development in collaboration with Land Solutions other teams.
The Grid team can provide technical support across the full project lifecycle. This includes grid connection feasibility, grid application, construction supervision and management of commissioning/grid code testing.
Coillte have developed a number of Wind Energy Projects gaining a wind range of wind analysis expertise and technical support was provided during the initiation and development phases to ensure high quality buildable and viable projects. Coillte can provide support on all aspects of wind resource analysis, energy production assessment and wind monitoring programmes to facilitate the production of financial grade energy production estimates.
