Curragh Chase Caravan and Camping is located just 33km southwest of Limerick City on the N69 route towards Foynes. It can be found on discovery map number 65, grid reference R-413 495.

Curragh Chase Caravan Park

Curragh Chase Caravan Park and Camping Park, Kilcornan, Co. Limerick, Ireland

This amenity, within the ambience of a Coillte Forest park, incorporates forest walks, nature trails, gardens and the ruins of Curragh Chase House, the 18th century home of poet Aubrey deVere.

The Caravan and Camping Park is seasonal open from 1st May to mid-September. There are 50 Caravan and 40 Camping pitches with a service building providing toilets, showers and a laundrette. There is also a recreation room with an outdoor children's play area within the forest park.

Check in Procedures: Security gate at entrance to Forest Park/Caravan and Camping park, close automatically at 6.30p.m winter time and 10.00pm. Summer time.

Check in prior to gate closure is recommenced, should you require to check in after the said times, please contact reception at Curragh Chase caravan and camping - Tel 061 396349.

Facilities: Carpark, picnic sites, children's playground, forest walks and gardens.

Walks: There are a number of trails in the park: a trail of approximately 3km takes you around the lake and gives you the opportunity of visiting the deVere monument overlooking the lake. There is also a garden walk incorporating some specimen trees and a children's playground along the way.

Tree Species: There is a large area of mixed woodlands, the greatest part of this site consists of large stands of beech, ash and oak. The oldest of these trees is about 200 years old. A large area of Norway spruce trees have also been planted.
