Project Conference-Four Years of LIFE Restoration at Coillte Woods

Over 100 people walked through remarkable ash-hazel woodland associated with limestone pavement at Clonbur on the shores of Lough Mask on the Galway/Mayo border on day 2 of the conference where they saw a wonderful example of priority or rare woodland habitat. Native tree and plant species are thriving and regenerating naturally on an extensive basis here at Clonbur as a result of this project which has removed competing non-native tree and plant species.
