Following Gate 3, Coillte is now the second largest co-developer / developer of on-shore wind generation capacity with 11 projects in 9 counties within the island of Ireland, totalling c. 400 MW.

As part of this development programme, Coillte is jointly building its first Wind Farm in Garvagh Glebe, Co Leitrim, with ESB Wind Development Limited. The Garvagh Glebe Project will commence generation of electricity in early 2010.

Coillte's second project, a co-development project with Viridian in County Donegal, is expected to start construction in early 2011.

The process of preparing planning applications for 6 other projects in the portfolio has just commenced.

Subject to Grid connection offers and planned upgrades to the national grid, Coillte's portfolio of projects is expected to be built and operational over the period 2010 to 2019.
