Coillte today announced that it has signed the purchase and sale agreement with Weyerhaeuser Company to acquire its Weyerhaeuser Europe Ltd. MDF business based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The transaction is subject to Competition Authority approval.

The Clonmel plant has a capacity of 400,000m3 and employs approx. 145 employees.
