About Coillte

Consultation Policy

Coillte aims to manage it's forests in a way which balances economic, environmental and social objectives and meets society's needs both now and in the future. Sharing information about forests, and ideas about their management, is a two-way process. In this regard, we welcome input from our stakeholders on our forest management policies and practices. In addition we aim to raise stakeholder awareness of the management of our forest resources and to improve their understanding of the processes involved.

If our stakeholders understand how we are managing the forests, and how we are trying to balance the flows of the different values and benefits from the forests, they are in a position to make informed and constructive contributions to forest management. Similarly, if we understand our stakeholders interests in the forests and listen to their concerns, we can take them into account as we plan and undertake our forest management activities.
